The ADHD Brain: Understanding Executive Functions and Practical Strategies for Home.
We are delighted to offer this online Zoom talk presented by Sapah Jama, Learning & Development Programme Coordinator at Skylarks. This session is designed for parents and carers who want to better understand ADHD and gain practical, evidence based strategies to support their child at home.

During this session Sapah will discuss the following:
- What ADHD is and how the ADHD brain works
- Understanding executive functions and why they can be challenging
- Common difficulties with organisation, planning, emotional regulation, attention and working memory
- The strengths of children and young people with ADHD
- Practical strategies to support executive functioning at home
- How to create external supports and routines that build confidence and independence
- The importance of motivation, dopamine and positive reinforcement
- Time for questions and discussion
About Sapah
Sapah Jama is the Learning & Development Programme Coordinator at Skylarks, where she leads employability, life skills and parent education programmes for children and young people with additional needs. She holds a BA (Hons) in Early Years Education and is currently completing an MSc in Psychological Sciences. Sapah has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children, young people and their families through education, training and therapeutic services. She is passionate about helping parents understand how the ADHD brain works and equipping them with practical, realistic strategies that reduce stress, build confidence and promote independence at home.
