SEND Education Advice Team at Skylarks
Achieving for Children are moving to a banding system for EHC plans. Beginning in Sept 2025 plans will no longer mention specific hours of support. Many other Local Authorities Already have this system.
Removing 'notional' hours from plans will mean that it is really important that the provision needed in section F of the plan is 'Specified' and 'Quantified'.
If you want to make sure that the plan has this clearly for your child and what to do if it does not then please book on this session. We plan to run it again in September and may also offer a micro talk in the micro talk series.
The session will provide information to families of children and young people with EHCP about:
- What is the importance of section F? How does that link to other sections of the plan?
- How do we make sure that the provision listed in the EHCP is Specific and Quantifiable?
- Questions to ask professionals and SENDCOs if you are worried that provision isn't clear?
- Information to ask for at an Annual Review or when an EHCP is in draft form if you feel some of the provision isn't Specific and Quantifiable?
- What happens if the provision in the plan is specific and quantifiable and is not being delivered by a school?
