Planning for your Goals - Online workshop with The Money Charity for 14 - 16 year olds

As part of our offering for our older young people with additional needs and disabilities, Spread Your Wings, we are delighted to offer a session on money and finance for young people with additional needs. The first session is called Planning for Your Goals and will be delivered online by The Money Charity.

This is a mainstream course but the content will be delivered more slowly and with ideas reinforced through repetition and discussion. Young people can join in as much as they wish, but there is no pressure to so they can just observe if they wish (although we ask them to keep cameras on for safeguarding purposes).

This session will take place ONLINE via ZOOM on Monday 25th September 4.30pm - 6pm


KS4 Planning and Budgeting 

This workshop is about setting goals and putting an action plan together to achieve them, debating priorities and discussing the difference between needs and wants. Additionally this workshop is about knowing how to budget and putting this into practice. 



OTHER NOTES ON THE ONLINE COURSE:

  • Your young person will need a quiet space for the sessions and a computer/laptop/iPad with internet connection so that they can use zoom
  • The sessions will be interactive so they will need to be seen (using the computer camera/webcam) and heard (using the computer microphone or headset)
  • It's important the young people are relaxed and comfortable; please do help them get set up for the first session and be on hand for any technical difficulties
  • We ask parents to stay nearby as necessary
