WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO an online workshop for parents and carers to help build resilience in their children and throughout their family. this course is delivered by role models.
How To Build A Resilient Family
With a focus on tips and practical strategies, the workshop aims to upskill parents with an insight into how they can support, respond to and build resilience in their children. Come and learn how to take a proactive approach to developing resilience, wellbeing and positive mental health in your children, with strategies that can be easily incorporated into your family life.
What will the workshop cover?
- What does resilience look like and why is it so important?
- Helping your child deal with challenging times
- What to say/what not to say to help promote resilience
- Language for the whole family
- Tangible ideas and takeaway strategies
- An action plan for you and your family
This workshop is for any parent wanting to support their child in developing their resilience. It is open to parent-carers from any borough.
The content of this workshop is suitable for parents with children aged 3 years and up, although we suggest that you may want to wait until your child is 4 or 5 years old..
The course will be held by Zoom from the comfort of your own home. You will need to have somewhere quiet where you can concentrate and not be disturbed.
We are limiting the number of participants on this course to 12. If you find you cannot attend, please cancel your place so that it can be offered to someone else.
The workshop is free of charge but donations are appreciated.
When you have booked here, you will be sent a link to register with Role Models. They will then send you joining information and the Zoom link.
The workshop will be followed by an Online Support Group a week later, on Wednesday 3rd February. All participants are invited back a week later to discuss what they have heard and understood, to share their own stories and personal perspectives and to receive support from Skylarks staff and other parents.
