Online drama with Cassie from Knots Arts - by Zoom

Run by Knots Arts
Come and join our drama leader Cassie from Knots Arts for a live drama session using Zoom.

Cassie is our drama leader at Skylarks, who runs our drama sessions at the centre on Tuesdays. During lockdown she also produced a huge range of interactive videos of story time for us, which we hope you have enjoyed.

During the holidays she hosts live interactive drama sessions that you can take part in from home.

If your child can't make it to our Tuesday afternoon drama classes in Twickenham, but would still like to take part in a drama class, we can offer them a place in our online drama class with Knots Arts in the school holidays!

Cassie will lead our children on a series of adventures, inspired by their own creativity. Hold on tight and come and have fun!

KNOTS ARTS OFFERS A CREATIVE SPACE TO UNTANGLE SOCIAL KNOTS

Cassie from Knots Arts says: "Our mission is to create inclusive, friendly and fun sessions were children and young people feel safe and supported to develop their communication skills and build friendships. By meeting others who understand the challenges that social communication difficulties can bring, children are able to work together to embrace their differences and overcome any obstacles that they may present."

The drama sessions consist of games and activities which are designed to support the development of team working, language processing and understanding of speech. The sessions include drama games appropriate to the ability of the group and a drama activity such as story-telling, physical theatre or improvisation. The children contribute ideas for characters and storylines which are included and interwoven ensuring everyone is involved.

Children with any disability and with any level of need are welcome to take part. Their parents and siblings are very welcome to take part too.

All you need is to wear comfortable clothing and have bare feet (no shoes or socks please) and to make sure that you have plenty of space around you.

All children are welcome to join in: those with additional needs and their siblings. The suggested age range for our online drama is 5 years and above.

You will be sent the Zoom link before the event. Please make sure you know how to use Zoom and please ask in advance if you have any difficulties.

If you have difficulty accessing the event on the day, please contact Gabi at gabriella@skylarks.charity or on 07951 960012.
