We are pleased to offer free online First Aid courses for parents of children with Special Needs.
These are delivered for us by Tania Cheney from Simple First Aid.
The course will last one hour and will take place via Zoom. You will be sent the link and password after booking.
The course will cover accidents that could happen at home. It is designed to interactive and informative.
Please bring a pillow with you. No, you are not going to fall asleep but will need it for one of the exercises!
You will be taught how to respond to incidents such as:
- severe allergic reactions and the use of an epi-pen
When you book this activity, you will be asked if you agree with the following statements:
I understand that this course is aimed at parents and it is not intended for children to be present in the room
I understand that I am responsible for my children’s safety at home.
I understand that I must not record, photograph or video any Skylarks live online sessions
I understand that I must not share any Zoom passwords
I will report any safeguarding issues to Skylarks staff or to the appropriate authorities
If I cannot attend, I will notify Skylarks as soon as possible so that my place can be offered to someone on the waiting list.
I understand how to use Zoom or will ask for help to set it up at least 24 hours before
Numbers are limited to 10 adults per course.

The courses are free of charge to families registered with Skylarks.
If you cannot attend this course after booking, please cancel your booking in good time and inform us at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can offer your place to someone on the waiting list.
If the course is fully booked, please put your name on the waiting list.
