Go the extra mile for Skylarks this year

February 14, 2022

Skylarks has places in a wide variety of exciting challenge events this year, so now’s the time to put those New Year’s resolutions to the test. Last year, I was truly inspired by my 16 year old son Rudi, who despite his rare syndrome, rode 150 kilometres over five months on his trike and smashed his fundraising target! There really is a challenge for everyone - could one of the events below be yours?

Kew RunFest | 9th-10th April

Start your race in the stunning Kew Gardens and finish at a fun music festival, with a free beer and watch the sun go down on our beautiful borough. We have spaces at both the 10k and half marathon.

Fundraising target:
10k race - £200 per person
Half marathon - £550 person

Tough Mudder | 21st-22nd May

Take part in a series of obstacle and mud runs that will push your physical and mental limits without the pressure of competition. A community built on teamwork and overcoming obstacles, where stepping outside your comfort zone is the reward. We have places in both the 10k and 15k events.

Fundraising target:
10k event - £300 per person
15k event - £375 per person

The Big Half | 4th September

The Big Half returns to the streets of London, taking place on a 13.1-mile closed-road course incorporating some of London’s most iconic landmarks. The race starts at Tower Bridge and finishes by the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.

Fundraising target:
£550 per person

Thames Moonlight 10 Walk | 9th September

The Moonlight 10 Walk kicks off the famous Thames Path Challenge weekend festival of riverside events! Experience London in a different light, passing famous landmarks – including St Paul’s, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge, the London Eye and more. A lively finish line awaits – with a glass of fizz & a special Moon medal – followed by some welcome hot food & drink. We have places for the 10k walk.

Fundraising target:
£250 per person
