Susie's Sensory Story
Susie’s Sensory Story is an inclusive multi-sensory experience, so there will be different textures, smells, sounds, sights - something for everyone. Sensory Stories are used to aid communication and sharing, boost attention and focus, as well as engaging the senses by creating an enjoyable sensory adventure. The story will be short, but the aim is to ensure everyone is included and most importantly has fun.
This will take place at Hampton Court as part of our Amazing Day Out on
Thursday 30th July
There will be two sensory story sessions at:
11.30am - 12.00pm
12.30pm - 1pm
*Please only book a place on one session*
PLEASE ONLY BOOK THIS ACTIVITY ONCE YOU HAVE BOOKED YOUR TICKETS TO HAMPTON COURT
The sensory story time will take place in The Clore Education Centre (where you also receive your tickets, map and wristbands). Then you are free to roam around the grounds, go inside the Palace, visit the Secret Garden children's playground and have a lovely day out. The Clore Centre will be our base for the day so you can come back for some quiet time, have coffee or squash and use the facilities. There is a sensory room, you can borrow a sensory back-pack, do some arts and crafts and dressing up activities. You are welcome to bring a picnic or packed lunch and eat it in the Clore Centre or anywhere in the grounds. There are also cafes available. Please note, not all our families will be able to access the Clore Centre at the same time, so we will ask you to stagger your lunch break times.
