THEATRE OUTING AT KEW GARDENS

The family theatre performances are picnic theatre style - we suggest bringing a picnic rug to sit on
Jack and the Beanstalk 10.30am in the Berberis Dell (letter B on the map), near Victoria Gate (Grid reference H8 on the official Kew map)
Wind in the Willows 2.30pm starts up on the far side of the Lake (letter D on the map)and then during a ‘procession’ the audience walk over to the main stage area. The walk is a few hundred metres long and the route goes along Syon Vista.
Please come in at Victoria Gate and staff will meet you there.
You will also have entry to Kew Gardens as part of this ticket, so can have free time to wander around, see the sights and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Kew Gardens. You can explore the gardens on your own, including admiring all the Henry Moore statues scattered around the gardens this year - and spending time in the Children's Garden (please note this can get busy). We will also arrange a meet up point in or near a cafe for any families who would like to come and chat to Skylarks staff and volunteers. You are welcome to bring your picnic to have as a group or you can buy some lunch in one of Kew Gardens cafes.
Please note: there will be Skylarks staff and volunteers present, but you are responsible for your child at all times.
Fair Access Policy: please only book ONE of our visits to Kew Gardens this summer holidays
Please note, if you have already booked a ticket to Kew Gardens separately through us for this date, please delete your other booking so we can offer that ticket to someone else.
Waiting List:
If our sessions are fully booked, please put your child's name on the waiting list for the dates you are available and we will contact you if a space becomes available. Sometimes cancellations can happen at the last minute due to illness etc so please also check the website for last minute availability.

There is no seating for the daytime performances; attendees are advised to bring their own blankets or chairs to sit on and the seating areas are all first come first served. You are advised to arrive early. Both performances are fully accessible, the audience areas are on grass.

This event is free of charge. Please only book those members who would like to watch the play.

Getting there
There is free on street parking on the side streets near Kew Gardens from 12 noon. Before then you will have to pay for parking.
The nearest underground station is Kew Gardens station (500m to Victoria Gate)
Free disabled access parking (for blue badge holders) at Kew's car park on Ferry Lane, TW9 3AF.
Buses:
Route 65 stops close to Lion Gate, Victoria Gate and Elizabeth Gate.
Route 391 stops near Kew Gardens station and Elizabeth Gate.
Routes 237 and 267 stop at Kew Bridge station.
The group will be accompanied by one or two Skylarks staff members and/or volunteers, but parents are responsible for their own children.
