Who Should Attend:
- Parents and Carers of Children and Young people who are not attending school.
- Parents and Carers of Children and Young people who struggle with school attendance.
- Parents and Carers of children who have been directed to offsite provision for some or all of the week.
- Parents and Carers of children across phases of Education including those who are post 16 and Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET)
- Parents and Carers of children with or without an EHCP
What will the session cover:
- Different types of provision that is not school based.
- Section 19, Elective Home Education and Education Other Than as School (EOTAS) provision.
- What is required of parents/carers in terms of attendance.
- What is required of the Local Authority and/or School.
- Practical Strategies to support school attendance.
- Consider some of the risks relating to forcing school attendance without appropriate support.
