We are delighted to welcome you to an introductory talk by Emtia Bartlett, and Bronwynn Saunders, Children’s Occupational Therapists based in Twickenham.

Emtia will talk about:

Meltdowns due to Sensory overwhelm:
Some children find environments too noisy, too bright, too busy, and clothing too scratchy.

Sensory seekers:
Some children have a constant craving for: movement, touching, chewing, making noise

Picky eaters:
Some children find eating different textures or tastes really challenging particularly in different environments.

Co-ordination and motor tasks:
Challenges with handwriting balance and ball skills and organising belongings or planning motor skills

Help to support all family members
  • Getting dressed with greater ease.
  • Supporting hand skills and organisation for every day living tasks.
  • More fun around the dinner table.
  • Strategies for bedtime routines.

Emtia Bartlett is dedicated to supporting children in developing confidence and enjoyment in learning. She is committed to helping children overcome challenges they once considered too difficult and values working closely with parents to deepen their understanding of their own and their child’s sensory processing needs.

Emtia qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1997 at the University of the Free State in South Africa and has specialised in paediatrics and sensory processing ever since. She completed Advanced Practitioner Training at the University of Cardiff in 2011. Her experience spans a wide range of paediatric settings, including supporting children with sensory processing challenges, Developmental Coordination Disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties, and Autism.
