Off the Record
If your child is interested in attending our counselling service offered by off the record, please try to come to our information session beforehand
This session is aimed at the parents and carers of children and young people aged 11 and above who may be interested on counselling.
This offers the parents a chance to meet the counsellors, hear more about what counselling involves, express concerns, talk about confidentiality and ask any questions.
For the counsellors this is a chance for them to hear a bit about the background of the young people they will be counselling, hear about any issues from the parents' point of view and learn about any special adaptations or accessibility arrangements that need to be met. This will mean that their future counselling sessions will then be able to be carried out in confidence, without the parents' involvement, unless the child particularly wants their parents to be involved.
