Ice Skating at Hampton Court Palace outdoor ice rink

Ice skating sessions just for our families, creating a calmer, less busy environment for our children and their families to access this fun activity.

We are pleased to be able to offer ice skating sessions again this year at HAMPTON COURT PALACE.

Wednesday 27th November at 10am

Thursday 5th December at 10am

A one-hour skating session at a quiet time of day.

There is also a cafe on site open from 10.30am

Open to all children with special needs and disabilities and their adults. There are penguin skating aids available and children who are wheelchair users will be able to go on the ice in the wheelchairs. There are also ride on "bananas".

Anyone who goes on the ice, even to sit on a banana, must be wearing ice skates. We suggest asking for ice skates one size bigger than your child's usual size, so that they don't feel too tight, especially for children with sensory issues. It is easier to persuade your child to change to a smaller pair than it is to persuade them to try again after putting on a pair that is too tight.

There will be a few Skylarks staff members and volunteers either skating or holding the coats! But parents are responsible for their children at all times and must skate with their children if needed.
