Half term holiday club with Movers and Makers
We are pleased to be able to offer a limited number of FREE places at the special needs holiday club this October half term run by Movers & Makers for children with additional needs and disabilities aged 6-12.
The holiday club will take place in south London, near Streatham, so will be most suitable for our families who live in the Wandsworth direction. It is just off the South Circular Road, the A205.
The dates are: Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th October. The club is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
The address is: Rosendale Community Centre, 147 Peasbody Cottages, London SE24 9DR.
The club offers activities for children who have mild to moderate additional needs and also for children who do not have additional need, such as siblings.
Each day will be a balance of calm, physical, sensory and food activities, for example:
- balloon powered rockets
- obstacle courses
- group yoga
- fruit smoothies
- ingredient experimenting
- music making
- Kids radio
For examples and photographs of the activities at a Movers & Makers camp, please see
The club has specialist trained staff and takes place in an enclosed venue. The staff are used to presenting information in a clear and visual way.
The holiday club is OFSTED registered and will be following Department of health and Government guidelines on Covid-19. If the government regulations change, there is the possibility that the holiday club may have to be cancelled, but at the moment we are hopeful that it will be able to run as planned.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and there is wheelchair accessible toilet, but not a hoist.
These places are free of charge if booked through Skylarks, otherwise they cost £35 per day. We are only offering these places to children with additional needs and disabilities, not siblings. Please note your child must have "mild to moderate" additional needs and places are offered at the discretion of Movers & Makers.
